Our Story
Fehnig was born from the passion and creative juices of the seventh generation of the renowned Fechner family vineyards that are situated in the Eden Valley of South Australia. Boasting vineyards over 110 years old, this unique parcel of land that has produced award winning wines for many well known Australian wine brands, deserves its own recognition.
Cousins, Huon and Megan, grew up roaming the family property, herding beef cattle and getting sticky picking grapes each vintage. Huon is now an international award winning winemaker. Megan and her husband, Philip, each bring their passion for great wine that has been a constant throughout their esteemed careers in Canberra.
Together, we are delivering exceptional estate grown wines of substance through Fehnig, that honours our family story.

The Fehnig emblem is a made up of each of our family's coat of arms - the swords at the bottom left are from the Fechner coat of arms, and the spear tip and stars at the top right are from the Nigg family coat of arms. Together, the Fechner and Nigg families have come together to produce Fehnig.
